 Laine Berry | 30 | Los Angeles

I am Laine. I recently moved my family from Chicago to Los Angeles while pregnant with our third kid so my husband could bring nostalgic movie and TV restaurants to life. Clearly we aren't afraid of a little spontaneity (or insanity) and adventure.

I started this blog 5 years ago as an outlet for me navigating through motherhood. I wanted a space to be creative and to create community. Turns out blogs are A LOT of work, who knew? Life got crazy and we did the whole move across country while pregnant and opening a business thing so needless to say, blogging took a back seat.

Fast forward 5 years and 2000 miles (oh did I mention we drove) and I am longing for that creative outlet and a space to just share my journey navigating through motherhood.

I used to be so ashamed ESPECIALLY in LA to say I am "just a mom." I ran from that being my identity but I am realizing the more I run, the harder I struggle. It has taken me 8 years of motherhood to really start to embrace being "just a mom" but the more I embrace my identity as just a mom the more it feels like my greatest calling.

So this is me, some days getting by on coffee and Mcdonald's drive-thru (shh don't tell anyone) and other days absolutely thriving with a clean house, healthy meals, and family yoga (I'm not sure this has ever happened but you get it).

This blog is a space for me, to process emotions, to have a creative outlet, to hold myself accountable to actually cooking meals (chicken nuggets don't count Laine)

Its a place for me

to be real with where I am

to fail

to thrive

to be confused,

to document the good, the bad, the beautiful.

I hope this is a space that cultivates community in motherhood (we cant do this alone), to inspire you, to make you laugh, and to help you realize that we don't all have to be Pinterest moms.
