Raspberry-Peach Smoothie


Things got a little messy!

I grabbed a bunch of peaches at the farmer market this past weekend and have been waiting for them to get ripe. This morning they were ready! This smoothie is a great way to kick start your day. Its loaded with protein and fiber and good carbs to get you through the day.

Raspberries are known to help control weight and keep you full for longer. Peaches are also loaded with health benefits and in Chinese medicine they are called "longevity peaches," meaning they help prolong your life. There is modern day science to back that up too. Peaches are loaded with potassium and potassium is known to help prolong your life as well as help fight fatigue, anxiety, muscle weakness, skin problems, and poor memory.

Raspberry-Peach Smoothie -1 cup raspberries -2 medium peaches -1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt -1 cup unsweetened almond milk -1 tsp vanilla extract - 1/2 cup of crushed ice

Procedure Cut peaches in small pieces and throw in the blender, add raspberries, yogurt, vanilla extract, ice and almond milk and blend until smooth. Tip: If you want to make smoothie extra pretty blend peaches, with half measurement of all other ingredients and then pour into glass, repeat with raspberries and pour over peach mix and you'll have a pretty mix of peach and pink. Save some extra raspberry and peach for topping if desired.
