Turmeric Milkshake (Dairy Free)

This isn't the most beautiful shake, I know and the name might scare the crap out of you BUT before you count yourself out, check out what amazing health benefits turmeric offers.

"Turmeric is used for arthritis, heartburn, stomach pain, diarrhea, intestinal gas, stomach bloating, jaundice, liver problems and gallbladder disorders. It is also used for headaches, bronchitis, colds, lung infections, fibromyalgia, leprosy, fever, menstrual problems, and cancer. Other uses include depression, Alzheimer’s disease, water retention, worms, and kidney problems." - WebMD

Is your interest peaked? Okay good. I used to be terrified to use turmeric or any other foreign spice, but when I read all the great things turmeric can do for you, I was determined to incorporate it more.

After the holidays have past, I often find myself in a slump and all I want to do is cuddle up on my couch and watch Netflix. However, after a few days of doing this, I end up in an even worse mood. So my only option is to fight it! Keep busy, nourish my body with "feel good food" and get up and get moving.

This afternoon, I needed a little pre-workout pick-me-up so I whipped up this, not so pretty, but super tasty treat.

All my recipes are completely adjustable, just use whatever you have and add your own twist on it and see what comes of it!
